"Researchers have discovered that parents with high IQs tend to have children with high IQs, while parents with low IQs tend to have children with low IQs." (The role of genetics in IQ and intelligence, iq-test.learninginfo.org/iq03.htm) This correlation would logically conclude that gentics play a role in the offspring's intelligence. "The development of a fetus has been shown to corrrelate to intelligence, also." (IQ-Genetics of Enviroment, Fabian Grasso, July 1, 2002, allpsych.com/journal/iq.html) Correlation does not always mean conclusion. Inhertience is thought to be a factor in intelligence, but not the only one.
