The Pinna is the outer projecting portion of the ear.The external auditory canal is the narrow, tubelike passage through which sound enters the ear.

Middle Ear

The ear drum is a membrane in the ear canal between the external ear and the middle ear; also called the tympanic membrane. The malleus is the outermost of a chain of three small bones in the middle ear of humans and other mammals; also called the hammer. The incus is the middle one of a chain of three small bones in the middle ear of humans and other mammals. The stapes is the innermost, stirrup-shaped bone of a chain of three small bones in the middle ear of humans and other mammals, involved in the conduction of sound vibrations to the inner ear; also called the stirrup. The vestibular System allows us to stand upright, maintain balance and move through space.

Inner Ear

The cochlea is a spiral-shaped cavity forming a division of the internal ear in humans and in most other mammals. The vestibular cochlear nerve is responsible for transmitting sound and balance information from the inner ear to the brain. The eustachian tube is a tube made up of bone and cartilage that connects the middle ear to the back of the mouth.
