Amnesia is a serious memory loss usually caused by physical injury to the brain or by the ingesting a toxic substance that affects the brain.
the memory loss can be caused by a traumatic, emotional event can also cause amnesia

difficulty learning new information, or recalling information learned before the occurance of amnesia. Confusion and dissorientations may occur. Amnesia can take effect on every aspect of life; social life, education, work, and family life may all be effected. Amnesia can occur at any age in either male or female gender


When Amnesia occurs due to an emotional event, psychotherapy can be helpful. Drug treatment can also be used in treatment of Amnesia, although hospitalization is generally not necessary.
